I have a deep love for natural light portraiture. There's something so incredibly beautiful about the way light falls and shadows contour. The way eyes will glisten, skin softens and beauty is enhanced. I rely on the light and shadows around me to create stunning portraits that not only display beauty, but radiate emotion.
"I think that emotional content is an image's most important element, regardless of the photographic technique." - Anne Geddes
When photographing, "the camera makes you forget you're there. It's not like you are hiding but you forget, you are just looking so much." - Annie Leibovitz.
There are so many factors that make a photo strong, not just the subject. I am constantly looking at my surroundings; at shapes, colors, foreground, background, wind, light and shadows. When everything is just right and the balance is perfect, the outcome is breathtaking.
"You don't take a photograph, you make it." - Ansel Adams
During a session my goal is to make my subjects feel as comfortable as possible. The more comfortable, the more emotion I will capture. It's not uncommon for the best photos to be captured at the end of the session. The model has completely relaxed and we have learned enough about each other to create a connection as if we're old friends.
"Photography for me is not looking, it's feeling. If you can't feel what you're looking at, then you're never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures." - Don McCullin
Trust is extremely important when creating a stunning portrait. Everyone has insecurities, and this often times makes my job very challenging, and my goal is to make you feel the most beautiful you have ever felt. To show you that your smile really is gorgeous, your eyes are extremely captivating, and that your curves are sexy. Everyone is beautiful in their own unique way, just give me a little time with you and trust that you are in good hands, and you will see how naturally gorgeous you are!
"I like to photograph anyone before they know what their best angles are." - Ellen Von Unwerth
"To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them." - Elliot Erwitt
"It's about reacting to what you see, hopefully without preconception. You can find pictures anywhere. It's simply a matter of noticing things and organising them. You just have to care about what's around you and have a concern with humanity and the human comedy." - Elliot Erwitt
My post production has changed quite a bit over the years and I have finally mastered a style that makes my images unique to me. I am all about enhancing natural beauty. I want you to look your absolute best, because let's face it... who doesn't want to look their best? I want to see you for the beauty that you are, and I want to make sure everyone else sees it as well.
"It's one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it's another thing to make a portrait of who they are." - Paul Caponigro
I truly love making people feel beautiful. It's the greatest feeling in the world to make someone smile because they've realized how gorgeous they are.
"Only photograph what you love." - Tim Walker
